Like everyone else, this semester is absolutely flying by for me! Our soccer season came to an end last weekend as we lost two games on the weekend to Duluth and Bemidji. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been playing soccer since I was three, and now my career is finally over! It’s hard to believe that I won’t have practice every day or games every weekend, and that I won’t be waking up at 4:30am every morning of the Spring Semester for off-season workouts. As much as I will enjoy having a lot of free time, I will definitely miss the camaraderie that comes with being on a team! But now that we have our weekends free… A few of my girlfriends and I are heading to the cities next weekend to watch the Mustang Football Team play in the Metro Dome!! Not only are we going to support our fellow Mustangs, but we’re going to make a nice little trip to the Mall of America too!
From an academic perspective—I just applied for my degree check to make sure that I’m right on track to graduate, and I just registered for my last semester at Southwest! It’s crazy to think that soon I will be in the real world fending for myself… But in the meantime, I plan on enjoying the rest of my senior year with my buddies, and soaking up all that Marshall has to offer. But let’s get real. I know I’ll be here longer than expected—I just love it so much!!!
