There is literally about one month of school left before the end of the semester, and I must say the time has just flown by. Between homework and projects, Accounting Club, work in the Admission Office, and time spent with friends, Fall Semester 2011 is almost behind me. With this being said, the Holidays are right around the corner.
As the Holidays inch nearer, so does the spirit of giving. Since the friendships made my freshmen year, traditions have begun to form themselves. And one tradition in particular is “Secret Santa.” Each year around Thanksgiving time, my friends and I draw names out of a hat for a Secret Santa. Between this time and the end of the semester, we drop little hints that either give clues to who we are or turn our potential Secret Santa in the wrong direction. It is always fun to steer them towards someone else. At the end of the semester, we get together and exchange gifts with our friends, guessing who had us as a Secret Santa throughout the past month. We all bring a dish to pass and reminisce about the past memories we have made throughout the semester and years behind us. We have definitely made plenty of memories that will not be forgotten.
This may be our last Christmas of having a Secret Santa or exchanging gifts but it will not be the last moment we have to make lasting memories here at SMSU.
Happy Holidays!
